Whoever added and wrote the description and screenshots should do a total re-write of the page. I think it's low-end enough to run on an average computer at the time of this release I guess.
Cars 2 the video game xbox 360 gameplay Pc#
Most families don't buy PCs with gaming in mind, unless someone in that family is a PC gamer, knows what to look for, do their homework, or even build their PCs. I still think they used the Wii graphics for lower-end PCs. That alone, I may get this for my Steam library during a sale just to have access to it on my computer. I'm glad it still has the core game elements at least.
Cars 2 the video game xbox 360 gameplay ps3#
You can clearly see the training levels on Xbox and PS3 look way better than PC and Wii. Pause the Wii video at 3:58, PC at 1:58, Xbox 360 at 5:11, and PS3 at 0:41 marks. It really does look like it too! Good examples you found there. PC and Wii version have split-screen only for 2 players and X360/PS3 versions have split-screen probably up to 4 players. Somebody wrote that PC version '(.)looked just like it only at higher resolution (Wii is 640x480)(.)'. PC version probably doesn't have as bad graphic as Wii version but PC version still have worse or a lot of worse graphics than PS3/X360 versions. PC version of Cars 2 is probably port or conversion from Wii. Why text about PC version have info about DS version? Up to four players? Is it false advertising or just big mistake? PC version is only up to two players and has worse graphics than screenshots and gameplay parts from trailer on Steam store page (which are - screenshots and gameplay from trailer - probably from PS3/X360 version). The DS version will also include exclusive global locations not seen in the film. '(.)Players can race against friends and family in either single or multiplayer modes with up to four players to unlock challenging new tracks, characters, events and thrilling spy missions. Please, look at Steam Store page about this game:
I have sent 'question' to Steam Support about this ('Type of problem' - as 'Forum Issues' becuase there are no category like mistakes on Store page): The first Cars game was ported to PC by Beenox if I remember from the demo, from the looks of it and what I played, that was done properly. Reading SupaChigga's review I find it interesting the game was outsourced. So far the Steam page says nothing about SecuROM. I wonder if this has SecuROM on top of Steam as that did have SecuROM from what I remember reading. Worth noting the PC version was Amazon only for the longest time too. Most families don't even go for gaming PCs, so maybe they lowered it so it could run on your $300 budget PC at the time of release. Maybe Disney lowered the graphics because it is a "kids" game.
From what I've played on Wii, it was still pretty fun despite the lower graphics. I have the Wii version of this game, and when watching, it looked just like it only at higher resolution (Wii is 640x480). I remember seeing gameplay footage of the PC version in 2012.
